Woman arrested for DWUI while sleeping outside Loaf n Jug in handicap parking space

(Casper, Wyo.) - On Saturday, July 2nd at approximately 12:22 am Casper Police Officers were dispatched to 933 N. Center Street Loaf n Jug for a REDDI report. The reporting party stated that a female in a white trailblazer with Colorado plates was "slumped over, passed out in the handicap parking spot," according to court records. Officers arrived at the Loaf n Jug and observed the vehicle with the back up lights illuminated, and they made contact with the driver. The woman provided officers with identification, she was identified as twenty-eight year old Sarah Sjol. Sjol reported, as she reportedly continuing eating her sandwich and talking to officers, she had fallen asleep and the clerk had come to check on her. Sjol apologized several times for being at the store and she could not find her insurance card, according to reports. She also denied drinking alcohol that day. Reports show that Sjol was slurring her speech as she spoke with officers and she could not explain to them why she was parked in a handicap space. She continued to speak with officers and told them she thought it was four or five in the afternoon. She was asked to perform field sobriety tests and had a blood test taken which proved positive for alcohol, according to reports. Officers also located a substance which proved positive to be methamphetamine in her vehicle. Sjol was arrested and booked for DWUI and possession of a controlled substance. #oilcity #news
