Nineteen year old pleads not guilty to five charges of 2nd degree sexual abuse

(Casper, Wyo.) - Nineteen year old Casper man, Austin Barelle plead not guilty to five charges of sexual abuse of a minor following relationships with underage females according to reports. The State elected to drop five of the ten charges this morning in the amended information. Reports show that in February 2016, a female's Ipad had been taken by school staff because she had been sending photos to older males. School staff observed sexually explicit messages from I-messages, Skype and face-time applications, according to court records. The Ipad was collected by authorities and logged into evidence. Investigators searched the Ipad and one of the contacts came up in the CAD system as Austin Barelle. Court records indicate that officers were later notified of a separate incident involving another underage female, whose age was not released. In March 2016, the female, whose age was not released, was taken to the Natrona County Child Advocacy Project where she stated that the two had been having sexual relations shortly after they began dating in October 2015. Court records indicate that police investigators reached out to Barelle and he declined to appear for an interview and stated he was going to seek legal council. Barelle is being held on a $25,000 bond awaiting trial. #oilcity #news
