141 wrestlers learn from All Americans at KWHS

(Casper,Wyo.) - Through this week one hundred-forty-one young wrestlers put on their wrestling shoes for a week of training and education from some All American wrestlers and coaching from KWHS coach Travis Peak. Two time NCAA All American and High School Wrestling Hall of Famer, Jeff Ruser worked with the big boys to hone their techniques, gearing up for the upcoming season. Also working in the KWHS wrestling room was NCAA All American Jimmy Savala helping the kids out. "I love wrestling, and it's so great to give back to these young athletes," said Savala. "It is all about technique, it does not matter who is teaching it, but that is always the most important part. It is also cool to share my thought process while I'm in the ring with the kids, the reality is, it is mind over matter, we give them the techniques and it is up to them how they use them," concluded Savala as he hopped on the mat. Today the wrestlers will hit the mat for some one on one action in the ring with Coach Peak adding encouragement. #oilcity #news
