Pope Construction sets the ceremonial beam to the delight of Bar Nunn students
(Natrona County, Wyo.) - "YES!" Hollered out one Bar Nunn's students when he heard his school was gaining a skylight as an addition to the addition of the school.
Today K-5 students at Bar Nunn Elementary gathered outside in the cool October wind to watch their names rise up on the high beam to become apart of the new Bar Nunn Elementary School.
Pope Construction is the contractor working on the extension project and Superintendent Wade Crotteau shared, "This is a 4.1 million dollar project and we are hopeful to be completed with the addition next Summer. We are adding twelve new classrooms and a new gymnasium for the kids and the school."
Bar Nunn Principal, René Rickabaugh told students they would be getting new desks and chairs, new furniture at the school and a skylight, and they would be getting rid of the modular classrooms to the students' delight!
