Donated funds will be used to help bring healing and support to veterans and first responders in the Kansas City community through its Academy of Healing program
KANSAS CITY, Kan. (June 29, 2016) – Yesterday, representatives from 39Rainbow and LANE4 Property Group presented local nonprofit organization Warriors’ Ascent with more than $5,100 as a result of its May campaign at 39Rainbow. The National Military Appreciation Month partnership focused on supporting veterans and first responders, mind, body and soul, in the Kansas City community.
The May campaign included a portion of restaurant sales between May 1 – 31 to Warriors’ Ascent, as well as an additional 15 percent each Friday in May from collected receipts from supporters, volunteers and warriors themselves. 39Rainbow restaurants include Subway, IHOP, Five Guys Burgers and Fries and Topp’d Pizza + Salads.
The donated funds will be put toward Warriors’ Ascent’s Academy of Healing, a five-day program funded by donations to provide warriors with powerful healing experiences and a comprehensive introduction to holistic healing practices. The program includes instruction in mindfulness, yoga, nutrition, depth-oriented approaches to soul tending and Post-Traumatic Stress education.
39Rainbow will continue its commitment to giving back through its Summer of Giving campaign, wrapping up this month’s partnership with KC Pet Project for National Pet Adoption Month on June 30. 39Rainbow partnered with local organization Kansas City Jazz ALIVE in April, in honor of National Jazz Appreciation Month, donating nearly $5,500 to the organization’s annual Kansas City Charlie Parker Celebration. Additionally, 39Rainbow will soon add Wyandotte County’s first Pita Pit to its restaurant roster for its Summer of Giving campaign in July, opening date to be announced soon.
