Actress GAYATRI BAHL Stands By Her Husband on All-New “LAW & ORDER: SVU” Episode Airing on February 4, 2015

NEW YORK (January 30, 2015) – Actress GAYATRI BAHL (formerly Patel) stands by her husband in an all-new episode of the award-winning NBC police drama, LAW & ORDER: SVU, scheduled to air on February 4th. Bahl also stars and produces the upcoming comedy web series, JUST MY LUCK, and appears in the HBO pilot, UNTITLED HBO / ROCK ‘N’ ROLL PROJECT, directed by the legendary Martin Scorsese.

In the LAW & ORDER: SVU episode titled, “Decaying Morality,” NYPD detectives Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Rollins (Kelli Giddish) deal with the fallout after a rape suspect is released over a lack of evidence and the rape victim's father takes justice into his own hands. Bahl steps in as Jiya Alexander, the wife of the prominent dentist, Dr. Neil Alexander, played by Paul Adelstein (Scandal, Private Practice), who gets caught-up in the investigation.

Bahl was thrilled at the opportunity to work alongside this talented group, adding ‘Paul Adelstein was awesome to work with. I've been a fan since ‘Prison Break’ and I was in awe of how easy going he is. I was humbled by how Danny Pino was so interested in my Bollywood career. I would do SVU again in a heartbeat.”

Releasing later this spring, Bahl stars as the uber-assistant Deedee in the new comedy web series, JUST MY LUCK. The show follows a volunteer coordinator at a non-profit organization whose comfortable life embarks on a hellish ride of uncertainty as two new house guests, his type-A assistant (Bahl) and three interns all come crashing down on his world. As a producer on the show, Bahl was excited by the fan response to the pilot episode, commenting “I can't wait to share the quirky Deedee and her eccentricities with my fans! SVU is serious, but ‘Just My Luck’ is a riot. I've had an amazing time producing and acting in a web series that has over 70 actors and a lot of heart!”

Coming soon, Bahl will appear in the new television pilot, UNTITLED HBO/ROCK ‘N’ ROLL PROJECT, from veteran director/producer Martin Scorsese and writer/producer Terence Winter. The project stars Bobby Cannavale and chronicles a New York music executive in the late 1970s as he hustles to make a career out of the city's diverse music scene.

Bahl has been busy building a solid fan base since her early success in Bollywood as Gayatri Patel. This natural beauty of Indian descent, made her way from Alabama to India, where she quickly became recognizable from her critically acclaimed lead role in the Hindi Film “Let’s Dance,” proving her versatility as a seamless actor and dancer. She also showed-off her comedic skills guest starring on the Yash Raj produced She hasn’t skipped a beat since moving to New York City, appearing on Investigation Discovery’s “Redrum” and the new YouTube action adventure comedy “Inevitable.”

Gayatri Bahl is represented by Annette E. Alvarez of CO_MET, Inc.
