High Sierra Expands Value-Rich Apparel Collection for Fall 2016

VERNON HILLS, Ill. (Dec. 30, 2015) — Building on the success of its initial launch in Fall 2015, High Sierra is expanding its line of functional, affordable apparel for everyday adventures in Fall 2016 by introducing kid styles and expanding its men’s and women’s collections. The new apparel line, which debuts at Outdoor Retailer Winter Market in January, features new layering pieces, jackets and pants for women, men and kids.

“The response to our apparel launch earlier in 2015 has been overwhelmingly positive from consumers and media looking for high-quality gear that doesn’t kill the wallet,” says Theresa Dumas, senior product manager for High Sierra. “For the Fall ’16 line we’ve been a bit more playful, drawing on current design trends and building on the prints and patterns that are so successful in our bags, to carry those designs into our new men’s and women’s styles, as well as our kid's apparel.”

For the kid's line, High Sierra has redesigned headlining styles from its well-received adult collection, including the Funston Jacket for boys and girls— a mid-weight piece perfect for layering. The kid's Funston jacket features cozy sweater fleece and retails for $45.

Also, notable from the kid's line are the cold-weather insulated offerings, which will impress parents with accessible price points. The boys’ and girls’ Frankie Fleece Lined Insulated Jacket is temperature rated to 25 Fahrenheit and is waterproof, breathable and seam-sealed, all for $100.

For Fall 2016, the Men’s Funston Full Zip Jacket II ($75 MSRP) receives an update with the addition of polyester microfiber-reinforced Water Resistant shoulder and chest. The Women’s Funston line now features a hybrid jacket with sweater fleece sleeves and side panels, and an insulated front and back panel. Available in three colors, the women’s Funston Hybrid Jacket will retail for $95.

Additionally, High Sierra’s Fall ’16 collection includes insulated interchange systems for cold-weather jackets. The men’s and women’s Alta Insulated Interchange Jackets ($155 MSRP) feature a fleece midlayer that zips into a  waterproof, breathable and seam-sealed outer shell.
