The Lander Art Center celebrates its 10 year anniversary with an evening of arts revelry!
Illuminate the Arts; Celebrating 10 years of the Lander Art Center will be a night of remembrance and celebration Saturday, April 12 at the Inn at Lander from 7-11pm. This event will honor the past and look to the future of the arts in our community. The Lander Art Center was formed more than 10 years ago with a $10,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Rural Communities project. Since then the LAC has grown to the preeminent art center in Fremont County devoted to offering year round art exhibitions and arts education open to all.
The night will feature a performing arts showcase by LVHS Valley Singers and the Wyoming Shakespeare Company who will perform a scene from Jane Martin's Anton in Show Business. The evening will continue with a special recognition of those vital to the formation and growth of the Art Center and a high quality live and silent auction. The evening will commence with dancing and a performance by Fluffy Buffalo.
Tickets to this event are $45 and include entertainment, tapas style dinner and 2 free drinks. Tickets may be purchased directly from the Lander Art Center, 224 Main Street or from the event website http://www.landerartcenter.com/10years
This special event is also a fundraiser to support the future programming of the LAC.
