San Diego Criminal Lawyer Alex Ozols Wins Prestigious Award

San Diego Criminal Lawyer Alex Ozols wins the Rising Star Award from Attorney Journal Magazine. This award is given to the best and brightest in their area of law and is known as a very prestigious award in the community. Alex Ozols grew up in Vancouver British Columbia, Canada and attended the University of British Columbia, where he graduated with a degree in Psychology. From there Alex Ozols attended law school in San Diego, CA. He graduated in the top 4% of his school, continued to tutor students after that, and is still known around the school as the one who developed a writing method for exams that is well known by all top students. In the featured article by Attorney Journal, Ozols gives credit to his psychological background saying things like "Trial is like a psychological chess game; you always need to stay one step ahead of your opponent. There are twelve jurors and you have to convince them you are right. You need to think about the way you speak, look, and act. Every mannerism, every movement you make is important". He is a lawyer that is always thinking about a way to win and will do whatever he can to get that advantage. Closing over 130 cases in this last year and being all over the media for his cases and his awards, Ozols seems to be on a path for success. One very interested theme in this article is that Ozols has a take on life that should clearly be adopted by others. He starts off his interview by saying "I believe that if you work hard enough that you will succeed. I hear people—all the time—saying that they hate their jobs and that ‘work is not supposed to be fun.’ I don’t ever see it like that. We live in a world where we are in control of our own destiny. No one can get in the way of that, and nothing ever should. I believe if someone wants something bad enough, then they should go for it, and not let any obstacles stand in their way". A powerful message, and one that is very true in any career.
