National firm, known for providing curated event experiences, launches new Colorado venture offering hands-on cannabis tour

Denver, Colo. — It’s been a long time coming. After years of prohibition, cannabis is finally legal in the state of Colorado. But do you know how the legal cannabis industry actually works? CID Entertainment is proud to launch its new Colorado-based Lighthouse Cannabis Project, which offers guests an opportunity to peel back the layers of the industry and peek inside a legal cannabis operation for a fascinating, behind-the-scenes look. "There is a movement happening here, a revolution," says CID Entertainment CEO and founder Dan Berkowitz. "It isn't just about consumption of the product; it's about the birth of an entirely new industry. We have the opportunity for a bigger conversation about freedom, liberty and personal responsibility."

Recognizing that Colorado has incubated great brands in other niche, consumable product categories — particularly craft spirits and breweries — Berkowitz sees a parallel to the burgeoning cannabis movement. Lighthouse aims to provide a high-quality experience that will educate guests about the often misunderstood cannabis industry, while providing interactive entertainment. Tours start with a brief history of cannabis as it relates to pop-culture, politics and business, and the successful campaign for legalization in Colorado. Guests are then guided through a legal grow operation to see the inner workings of large-scale cannabis production. Tour guests will be also be able to see the finished product, as they are treated to a curated dispensary experience to learn more about the different cannabis products available on the market. Round-trip transportation between Denver and the facility is included, yielding a truly seamless experience for visitors and locals alike.

Lighthouse Cannabis Project's Kobi Waldfogel is excited to bring CID Entertainment's proven hospitality and logistical expertise to this new industry. "We know how to curate special, memorable experiences," says Waldfogel. "Our goal is to de-mystify cannabis and reduce the cultural stigma surrounding one of the most misunderstood plants on the planet, while providing a safe and tasteful experience for our guests." Waldfogel emphasizes that Lighthouse tours are designed for consumers of legal cannabis as well as non-smokers who are simply curious about the industry.

Partnered with Terrapin Care Station, an established leader in the legal cannabis industry,  Lighthouse will pick up guests in Denver and drive them to Terrapin's Aurora production facility and retail location. Once visitors arrive at the 20,000-square-foot compound, they will be guided through the garden with programming developed by Terrapin's master grower. “We take a lot of pride in the operation we’ve built,” said owner Chris Woods. "We want guests to understand what it means to be a responsible actor in the cannabis industry.” Woods emphasized that the tour will feel familiar for anyone who has visited a vineyard or brewery.

Tours are two and a half hours long and are open to anyone 21 years or older. Group tours are scheduled Friday - Sunday at 10:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Guests will have the option to partake in smoking or non-smoking trips. Private tours can also be arranged.
