Siborg Systems Inc. Launches Website for Smart Tweezers and LCR-Reader LCR-meters and Other Products for Dominican Republic

Siborg Systems Inc. has launched new website for customers in Dominican Republic offering their software and hardware as well as rental properties. The site offers information on Smart Tweezers and LCR-Reader handheld LCR-meters, engineering and educational software tools and the properties located in Playa Laguna and Sosua.

Smart Tweezers and LCR-Reader LCR meters are fully automatic alternative devices to testing and troubleshooting Surface Mount Technology (SMT) with traditional bench type testers. Smart Tweezers provide a more efficient way to evaluate components. The combination of a set of tweezers and a powerful LCR-meter in a 1 oz. device, along with fully automatic measurements, Smart Tweezers are an essential tool for all work involving SMT. By grasping a component between the tweezers’ tips, Smart Tweezers automatically determine the type of component and the proper test signal and frequency before measuring for Inductance, Resistance or Capacitance as well as Equivalent Series Resistance (ESR) values. The measurement results are instantly displayed on the screen, including the main impedance value, the secondary value, the component type and test signal and frequency used.  

The newest model in the Smart Tweezers family is the ST-5S model. This model is the professional base model that offers more features, manual modes, 0.2% basic accuracy, and comes with an NIST traceable calibration certificate.

The LCR-Reader is a Smart Tweezers device for non-professionals that are looking for a ST device but without the high price; retailing for under $200. This price was achievable by omitting features such as semi-automatic offset subtraction, component sorting, and manual modes. LCR-Reader has a basic accuracy of 1%, slightly lower than the ST-5S, but on par with previous ST-2 and ST-3 devices.
