Military Servicemen and Women Honored With Free Meal On Veterans Day at Applebee's

BUFFALO, N.Y. – T.L. Cannon Companies, the franchisee for 60 Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar restaurants across upstate New York and Connecticut, is continuing its tradition of thanking the millions of U.S. veterans and active duty military for their service to our country. On Veterans Day – Sunday, November 11 – current and former servicemen and women are invited to come to Applebee’s for a great meal and heartfelt “thanks”… absolutely free.

On Veterans Day only, veterans and those on active duty with proof of United States military service can choose one free entrée from Applebee’s Veterans Day Menu:
o 7-ounce House Sirloin
o Bacon Cheeseburger
o Three Cheese Chicken Penne
o Chicken Tenders Platter
o Oriental Chicken Salad
o Fiesta Lime Chicken®
o Double Crunch Shrimp

Additionally, the first 500 military personnel to visit their neighborhood Applebee’s restaurant will receive a commemorative “thank you” lapel pin. Pins are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

New York State: Williamsville, Niagara Falls, Amherst, Lockport, North Buffalo, Depew, Blasdell, Lakewood, Cheektowaga, Dunkirk, Olean, West Seneca, Gates, Pittsford, Irondequoit, Greece, Fairport, Webster, Batavia, Canandaigua, Geneseo, Hornell, Henrietta, DeWitt, North Syracuse, Liverpool, Watertown, Auburn, Camillus; Elmira, Vestal, Ithaca, Cortland, Painted Post, Binghamton, Johnstown, Rome, New Hartford, Oneonta, Herkimer, Utica, Newburgh, Central Valley, Poughkeepsie, Middletown, Brewster, Kingston, Queensbury, Rensselaer, Schenectady, Saratoga Springs, Glenmont, Latham and Hudson;
Connecticut: Plainville, Groton, Torrington, Orange, Willimantic, and Manchester.

Applebee’s restaurants across the country served more than 1 million free meals on Veterans Day 2011. Since the program’s inception in 2009, Applebee’s restaurants have served more than 3 million veterans and active duty military.

Guests will need to provide proof of service, which includes: U.S. Uniform Services Identification Card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired Identification Card, Current Leave and Earnings Statement, Veterans Organization Card, photograph in uniform or wearing uniform, DD214, Citation or Commendation.

Offer is valid for dine-in only. Traditional sides are included with free entrees; 2 for $20 appetizers, upgraded side items or extras, beverages, desserts and gratuity are not included.
