From Food Safety to Current Developments in the GMO Debate:

Discover the latest innovations emerging news in food processing

The 2015 NW Food Processors Expo and Conference, held at the Oregon Convention Center January 11-14, 2015, attracts more than 4,000 food processors and suppliers to attend the nation’s largest regional show of its kind. With an annual revenue of $65 billion and more than 260,000 employees, food processing is the third largest manufacturing sector in the Pacific Northwest.

With 20+ breakout sessions covering everything from key regulatory and legislative issues to hot topics like food safety and current trends in sustainability and energy, Expo 2015 is designed to provide food processors the programming and networking opportunities they’ve come to expect from this signature event.

The event kicks off with the Monday Morning Keynote from Jake Nichol, recently retired CEO and President of Leatherman Tool Group. Nichol share’s the story of how Leatherman managed to dominate the multi-tool manufacturing industry, despite facing international competitors with lower wages, lower tax rates and lax regulatory enforcement.

This year’s 101st NWFPA Expo and Conference brings together key food processing professionals from across the Northwest, U.S. and the world. The event attracts a diverse range of personnel involved in all phases of food processing—from CEOs to plant and purchasing managers, production and quality assurance managers to business development professionals and experts in energy and sustainability; this year, an expanded Career and Education Center provides additional resources for human resources managers, job seekers and students.
