WIOD radio personality Keith Singer's new radio segment "Making a Difference," offers high profile guests who are giving back to their communities an open mic to discuss their philanthropy and charitable involvement. Among his recent guests have been Actor Patrick Dempsey, the late Comedienne Joan Rivers and Philanthropist Anthony Kennedy Shriver, Founder of Best Buddies International.
Joining Keith on December 20th in the 610 #WIOD studio, was NBA Hall of Famer Alonzo Mourning of the Miami Heat. Mourning is a philanthropist and retired professional basketball player, who played most of his 15-year #NBA career for the Miami Heat. Nicknamed "Zo", Mourning played at center. He now heads the Alonzo Mourning Foundation, a #charitable organization set up to help better the lives disadvantaged youth.
The "Making a Difference," segment broadcasts on Clear Channel affiliate 610 WIOD, one of the largest radio stations in South Florida - reaching a significant affluent audience in the tri-county area. "Our goal is to raise awareness about some great organizations and encourage even more philanthropy among celebrities," Singer said.
