Also Set to Star and Produce “STRANGERS ON THE LEDGE”
LOS ANGELES (September 15, 2015) – British actress NATALIE MARIE AMES is proving to be a rising star in Hollywood appearing in the upcoming Lionsgate thriller CRIMINAL and the recently released indie comedy LARRY GAYE: RENEGADE MALE FLIGHT ATTENDANT.
Set for release in spring 2016, Ames is a British New Reporter for director Ariel Vromen’s action-thriller CRIMINAL. Set in London, the film follows what happens when the memories and skills of a deceased CIA agent are implanted into an unpredictable and dangerous convict. Ames joins an all-star cast that includes Gary Oldman, Ryan Reynolds, Alice Eve, Kevin Costner and Gal Gadot.
Ames also shines bright in the indie comedy LARRY GAYE: RENEGADE MALE FLIGHT ATTENDANT, available now on VOD/DVD. The film chronicles when a self-anointed 'renegade' male flight attendant must save the day and his job from cost-cutting measures. Ames steps in as the hot girl ‘Jasmine’ who finds herself the brunt of jokester Larry Gaye (Mark Feuerstein) and his friend (Danny Pudi).
Splitting her time between London and Los Angeles, Ames is thrilled at the opportunities now coming her way, adding “Moving to Hollywood has been absolutely wonderful and I have gotten such fantastic opportunities. There’s also a huge work ethic here, which I love, and you can’t beat that California sunshine.”
Currently, Ames is back in London preparing to star in STRANGERS ON THE LEDGE, a short film she wrote and will also produce under her Seven Twenty Twelve Production banner. Shooting this fall, the film reveals what happens when two troubled strangers meet by chance on the ledge of a bridge and the life-changing evening they spend together.
Before landing in America, this British-born beauty trained at the prestigious Drama Studio London and successfully went straight into professional work in Off West End Theatre. Most notably, Ames appeared in Oscar Wildes “The Importance of Being Earnest” and “The House of Bernarda Alba” at Barons Court Theatre; “Two Gentlemen of Verona” at Grange Park Theatre; “Eight” at Kings Head Theatre; and “A Golden Age” at The Royal Festival Hall. On-screen, Ames has built a solid reputation in the independent scene. First in Britain, with appearances in MEETING PLACE and LE FEAR: LE SEQUEL; and then in Hollywood with various pilots and web series’ including “Perceptions,” “Himmler Entertainment,” and “Starving in Hollywood.” In addition, Ames emerges in the short film, VICE VERSA produced by “Grey’s Anatomy” star Isaiah Washington and Point Bird Productions.
