Deckorators to Showcase Revolutionary Vault Decking at JLC LIVE New England

For Immediate Release

Grand Rapids, Mich., March 16, 2016 – Deckorators will showcase revolutionary new Deckorators Vault decking to New England deck builders at JLC Live New England. Deckorators will be in booth 426. Made with patented EovationsTM technology, Vault is an extraordinary composite that looks and works like wood, but is stronger and more stable than anything on the wood-alternative decking market today.

It has an exquisite look, but it’s what’s inside Deckorators Vault that makes it extraordinary. Vault is composed of a unique mix of polypropylene and mineral filler. In our patented Eovations process, the polymer-mineral blend is extruded and stretched, creating tiny air pockets that make it lightweight and that give it a fiber-like structure, similar to wood, for superior strength. Vault boards are capped with polypropylene to create a durable, natural-looking surface that is stain-, fade- and scratch-resistant.

Eovations technology creates a product with the industry’s best strength-to-weight ratio and unmatched stability. Deckorators Vault uniquely benefits contractors because it is:

·         Virtually unbreakable. Vault is twice as strong as PVC decking in terms of stiffness-to-weight ratio. It is designed to be virtually unbreakable, withstanding the rigors of the job site. At the show, Deckorators will hold a contest offering $5,000 to any booth visitor who can break a Vault board using a sledgehammer. (Full details and official rules are available at the booth.)

·         Easy to work with. Vault cuts, drills, shapes and fastens as easily as wood, due to its fibrous structure. Yet a Vault board — 7/8 inch thick by 5 ½ inches wide — weighs just 1.6 pounds per linear foot. That is 35 percent lighter than most wood-plastic composite decking and similar in weight to PVC, making Vault easy to handle on the job site.

·         Extremely stable. Vault stays put when installed. It contains no organic material, helping keep thermal expansion to a minimum. In fact, during tests with 100-degree temperature swings, there was a .04-inch difference in the expansion lengthwise over a 20-foot deck board compared to PVC.

·         Backed by the industry’s best warranty. The Deckorators 25-year structural, 25-year stain-and-fade and 25-year removal-and-replacement warranty covers Vault, providing unequaled peace of mind. The 25-year removal-and-replacement warranty is the first of its kind in the industry.

“We see Deckorators Vault as the future of composite decking,” said Chris Camfferman, director of category marketing. “There’s absolutely nothing like it on the market today. Vault can improve the experience of installing premium, beautiful decks while helping New England contractors differentiate themselves from the competition.”

Deckorators will display a variety of additional new-for-2016 products at the show, including: cable rail, an aluminum deck gate, a deck board railing connector and an aluminum cap rail with wood-grain finish.

Contractors can stop by the Deckorators booth for details on the “Double Down” spring promotion.
