Local Firefighters Ditch Ladders; Grab Serving Trays at Applebee’s

HENRIETTA, NY –On Thursday, March 21 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., the Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar in Henrietta, NY will join forces with volunteers from the Caledonia Fire Department, as well as other departments, to put out meals, not fires. The event is part of Applebee’s “Tip-A-Firefighter” fundraiser and will help the firemen and women raise key funds to support the 2013 WNYVFA Convention. This convention will benefit all firemen and women within Western New York.

“Teaming up with our local heroes to ensure that they are able to attend a convention that will provide additional education on fire safety is an important initiative for the entire community,” said Stephanie Griffin, director of marketing and public relations, T.L. Cannon Companies. “Through the ‘Tip-A-Firefighter’ fundraiser, we hope to provide a fun, family-friendly night for our guests, where they can share a meal while giving back to our local heroes.”

While at Applebee’s, firefighters will greet customers, bus tables and serve guests. In return, customers will have the option to tip the firefighters, which will directly benefit the 2013WNYVFA Convention.

The Tip-A-Firefighter event will take place at the Applebee’s restaurant located at 3360 W. Henrietta Road, Henrietta, New York 14623.
