SEATTLE—September 15, 2014—The Fearey Group, a leading independent communications agency, today announced the expansion of its Health & Life Sciences practice, adding two seasoned health communication experts and growing its roster of health and life science clients.
“The firm has made its Health & Life Sciences practice a key priority, building on our years of experience with some of the largest players in the industry,” said Aaron Blank, president & CEO of the firm. “We have reorganized our team and made two more significant hires to bring in talent with deep roots in the health care industry.”
Within the past year, The Fearey Group expanded its health and life science portfolio by 35 percent and took on ten new clients, with client retention at nearly 100 percent. As part of this effort, the firm now services two Fortune 500 health insurance and pharmaceutical companies as well as two of the nation’s highest-ranking medical centers.
The expansion and reorganization includes the following moves:
· Nandi Thorn – Thorn was promoted to the position of Director of Health & Life Sciences. Thorn will continue to serve a pivotal role on health care and life science accounts and assume new managerial responsibilities. She brings 10 years of agency health care and life science expertise to the firm. Over the years she has worked for both public and private sector organizations.
· Amy Snow Landa – Landa joined the firm as an Account Supervisor in May, providing key skills in communications, media relations and health care strategy. “The Health & Life Sciences practice and the firm’s growing Public Affairs practice gives The Fearey Group a strong competitive advantage regionally and nationally,” said Blank.
