HOUSE OF ARRAS RELEASES NEW SPARKLING WINE, A BY ARRAS

Tasmania’s pre-eminent sparkling wine house, Arras, is set to launch a new sparkling wine under its flagship brand with the release of A by Arras Premium Cuvée NV this month.

The highly anticipated A by Arras is crafted from select parcels of premium cold climate Tasmanian fruit, resulting in a vibrant, fresh and approachable sparkling wine.

House of Arras Chief Sparkling Winemaker Ed Carr says the release of A by Arras gives the brand an opportunity to access a larger audience and move into the $20 - $25 price bracket, which is in solid growth.

“We’re absolutely thrilled with the style of this sparkling wine. It maintains the rich flavour typical of our house style whilst displaying more fruit driven, approachable characteristics. This wine is an excellent non-vintage example with beautiful poise and refreshing natural acidity on the finish,” said Carr.

The A by Arras Premium Cuvée NV reflects the superior winemaking techniques of the House of Arras team, coupled with top-quality Tasmanian fruit, delivering a sparkling wine of superior value relative to its price point.

Due to the House of Arras’ fastidious approach to winemaking, A by Arras is crafted with the same pedigree yet the overall style makes it more accessible to a wider audience.

House of Arras’ success has continued to grow with five sparkling wines from the label taking out top honours at the recent James Halliday Wine Companion Awards, including the title Best of the Best Sparkling for the 2004 House of Arras Grand Vintage. It’s the second consecutive year that a House of Arras wine has been awarded the top honour, with the 2004 House of Arras Blanc de Blancs taking out top gong the year prior.

Earlier this year the label was recognised at the 2014 International Wine Challenge held in London where the 2004 Grand Vintage won the Best Australian Sparkling White Trophy and the best Australian Sparkling Wine Trophy.
