Boulder International Film festival to host flagship culinary CineCHEF event

Exclusive movie themed chef competition to heat up downtown Boulder

Boulder, CO – The Boulder International Film Festival (BIFF) presents a new culinary experience that will showcase Boulder’s nationally recognized chefs. CineCHEF is a signature event that challenge’s the town’s favorite chefs to choose a movie theme and create film-inspired dished for a fun and friendly competition.

Boulder’s top chefs will have movie themed tasting stations serving small plates based on their chosen theme.  Participants will vote on their favorite offerings and the winning chef will be awarded a coveted Vielehr award sculpture and the title “Best CineCHEF, BIFF 2015”.

·       Who: Participating chefs include: Dave Query of Centro Latin Kitchen, Kyle Mendenhall of The Kitchen, Bradford Heap of Salt and Colterra, Kelly Kingsford of Brasserie TenTen and The Med, John Platt of RIFF’s, Radek Cerny of L’Atelier, and Alec Schuler from Arugula.

·       Tickets: $95; to benefit BIFF. Open to the public. Festival attendance not required.

Guests will enjoy wines from Francis Ford Coppola Winery, craft beers, and desserts from celebrated pastry chef Jen Bush of Lucky’s Bakehouse. Music by Maxwell Hughes, formerly of the Lumineers.
