Executive Chef Rikianne Gendvil and Bar Manager Jessica Teliczan add 20 new doughnuts and dishes and 15 new cocktails to the menu
Kansas City, Mo. (May 26, 2016) –New Doughnut Lounge Executive Chef Rikianne Gendvil and Bar Manager Jessica Teliczan will launch new summer doughnut and drink menus on Memorial Day, May 30.
The summer doughnut menu includes three new classic options like Orange Chocolate and Doughnut Holes, six new signature doughnuts including Tiramisu and Island Vacation and 11 new Nodut (a.k.a. knife-and-fork creations) like Do’nachos and Ice Cream Sandwiches, made with local ice cream from Betty Rae’s Ice Cream in Waldo. In response to frequent customer requests, a vegan doughnut and two gluten-free doughnuts* are also making a debut on the new summer menu. On the drink side, Bar Manager Jessica Teliczan adds 15 new craft cocktails to the restaurant’s bar menu.
The creative new menu is largely the brainchild of Executive Chef Rikianne Gendvil, new to the Doughnut Lounge team and previously from the recently opened Krokstrom Klubb & Market where she served as sous chef. Prior to her position at Krokstrom Klubb, Gendvil worked at quality Kansas City restaurants like bluestem restaurant, Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar, Classic Cup Café and Parisi Artisan Coffee in a variety of culinary positions. Gendvil was drawn to the Doughnut Lounge because of the creative freedom and ability to simultaneously explore both sweet and savory.
All new items will officially launch at Doughnut Lounge on Memorial Day, Monday, May 30.

Succotash Breakfast- open-4 p.m. Friday-Sunday only
Fried egg rests atop cornmeal doughnut with fresh spinach, summer succotash, bacon, tomato and citrus hollandaise. Extra hollandaise $2. Extra egg $1.
