VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, January 29, 2016 – Holidays for Humanity, a tourism media corporation dedicated to the promotion of mindful travel experiences, is pleased to announce the acquisition of SEEtheWILD. Effective February 1, 2016, Holidays for Humanity will takeover all the marketing and media efforts for the organization.
Based out of Portland, Oregon, SEEtheWILD was founded in 2012 by Brad Nahill and Dr. Wallace J. Nichols in an effort to expand the market for wildlife conservation tourism. Over the years, SEEtheWILD has worked to support conservation of endangered wildlife by promoting alternatives to destructive activities, increasing critical funding for conservation, and inspiring new wildlife activists.
The mission of the organization is to promote volunteer and educational tours that support wildlife conservation efforts around the world. SEEtheWILD’s rigorous screening process ensures that every one of its partners support conservation, reduce environmental impact, educate travellers, and benefit their local communities.
SEEtheWILD has supported wildlife conservation efforts around the world including $5,000 in grants towards the protection of manta rays, humpback whales, grizzly bears, penguins, and tigers. In addition, the website provides free marketing services for non-profit wildlife conservation organizations around the world. Holidays for Humanity will continue this record of support for wildlife conservation by donating at least 25% of all new revenue for the next three years to SEE Turtles, a non-profit sea turtle conservation organization that is fiscally sponsored by the Oceanic Society.
“We are thrilled to bring SEEtheWILD into the Holidays for Humanity fold. Brad Nahill and Dr. Wallace J. Nichols have worked tirelessly to build a strong and values-aligned community of suppliers. With a proven history for advocacy in conservation travel, SEEtheWILD is a perfect complement to Holidays for Humanity.” says Aaron Smith, CEO of Holidays for Humanity.
“When we launched SEEtheWILD, our goal was to bring conservation travel into the mainstream of the tourism industry,” comments Brad Nahill, co-founder of SEEtheWILD. “This acquisition by Holidays for Humanity will help to achieve that vision through its unique platform, and help many more travelers find a vacation that supports wildlife conservation.” Moving forward, Nahill will assume a director position at Holidays for Humanity.
Holidays for Humanity intends to continue the search for new opportunities and use the latest in technology to build on this passionate and engaged community. “We deeply honour the past work that has been done, and we look forward to an exciting future ahead,” says Smith.
SEEtheWILD is the world’s largest wildlife conservation travel website with more than 10,000 visitors per month and a social media network of more than 60,000 travelers. Since 2012, we have partnered with ten of the world’s leading adventure travel and ecotourism companies and organizations including Earthwatch Institute, Natural Habitat Adventures, Wildland Adventures, and Global Vision International. The website has more than 50 trips to over 15 countries around the world which allow travelers to see wild animals in their natural habitats and support local conservation efforts.
