The Emirates Identity has organized, in association with the Abu Dhabi University, a workshop for post graduate students from the College of Command and Joint Chiefs of Staff affiliated to the Supreme Command of the UAE Armed Forces. The Authority elaborated to the attendees its experiences as a model successful government organizations pioneering locally and internationally in its areas of operations.
During the workshop held at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Abu Dhabi, the Emirates ID has briefed the attendees on the origin and evolution of the Authority and its role in providing government services and necessary information required for decision making and strategic planning, eventually contributing to the economic and civilizational growth of the UAE.
The workshop, organized at the invitation of the Academic Program Administration for military colleges in the university, touched upon the various aspects of the Authority’s operations, ranging from its achievements so far to the ways in which it ensures the satisfaction of the customers.
The officials of the Emirates ID explained the concept and practice of organizational learning and culture, especially the principal components of sustained organizational excellence and competent human resources.
The workshop, attended by 25 students, also discussed the best practices that the Authority was implementing in training, development, recruitment and retention of human resources. Ahmed Al Jabri, Manager of the Corporate Governance office, Ibrahim Al Hammadi, HR Head, Dr. Alaa Garad, Director of Emirates Organizational Learning Centre and Abdul Wahhab Ghuneim, Senior Project Manager, were the officials who represented the Emirates Identity Authority at the event. Professor Jamil Abdul Majeed, Head of Academic Programs for the military colleges at the Abu Dhabi University and a number of other faculty members represented the University.
In the same context, the Emirates ID briefed a delegation from the Al Ain Distribution Company on its experience in implementing the ‘Investors in People’ Standard in human resources management. The meeting was in the framework of the Authority’s efforts at strengthening cooperation between its partners in both the public and private sectors and exchange of knowledge and experience with them.
The Authority reviewed during the meeting with the delegation at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi its experiences in implementing the best corporate and management practices and the latest systems and technological applications, focusing on its implementation of the ‘Investors in People’ Standard in human resources management. The meeting also touched upon the Authority’s e-suggestions system which won the Universal Ideas Award by the Ideas UK Society in the gold category.
Ahmed Al Jabri, Manager of the Corporate Governance office, Ahmed Al Uwaim, Director of Strategic Support and Corporate Excellence, Ibrahim Al Hammadi, HR Head, Dr. Alaa Garad, Director of Emirates Organizational Learning Centre and Mohamed Abu Ramman of the Strategic Support and Corporate Excellence Division attended the meeting on behalf of the Authority. As for the visiting delegation, it comprised Hamad Al Shamsi, HR Head, Khalid Salim Al Dhahiri, Training Officer, Sara Ghumran Al Dhahiri, Business Processing Specialist, Ahmed Hilal Al Kaabi, Senior Engineer, Pumping Stations, Wafaa Al Nuaimi, Engineer, Energy Assets and Mouza Al Shamsi, Assistant, Workforce Planning and Development.
