(April 24, 2014) The Preventive Cardiovascular Nurses Association (PCNA), headquartered in Madison, Wis., announces the addition of Mary Callen to the team as the new Membership and Chapter Coordinator.
Callen will be responsible for managing and growing membership, working with chapters to facilitate strong relationships, as well as identifying members who have strong potential to become leaders in the organization.
Arriving at PCNA after a seven-year streak at Wisconsin Newspaper Association, Callen has plenty of experience. Over the course of her career, she has demonstrated strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with diverse groups of professionals, government agencies, university and scholastic leaders and external partners. Callen says she owes most of her success to her ability to cultivate and maintain relationships, successfully research and gather information, honor deadlines and work independently.
“We are excited to be adding Mary to our team,” says Sue Koob, PCNA CEO. “Our membership is constantly growing, and I know that Mary will do an outstanding job of working with our members and helping us continue to grow.”
PCNA has established itself as the premier organization of nursing professionals dedicated to the prevention of cardiac and other vascular diseases throughout the lifespan. PCNA’s mission includes developing and promoting nurses as leaders in this field and supporting comprehensive risk reduction strategies for individuals and populations across the lifespan. PCNA takes pride in supporting leadership, advocacy, lifelong learning and empowerment of the nursing community.
