Valentine’s Day and Mardi Gras special menus featured at Jax Fish House and Oyster Bar

Select dishes created by Executive Chef Sheila Lucero specifically for each menu will make rare appearances

Kansas City, Mo. (Jan. 28, 2015) – Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar plans to celebrate Valentine’s Day on Saturday, Feb. 14 and Mardi Gras on Tuesday, Feb. 17 with two menus specially crafted by Executive Chef Sheila Lucero. In addition to Jax’s regular dinner menu, diners can enjoy custom dishes tailored to each holiday and offered only for Valentine’s Day and Mardi Gras.

During the Mardi Gras celebration, diners can enjoy live entertainment by Tim Whitmer from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. In addition to the special Mardi Gras menu and entertainment, Jax will also offer its happy hour from 4 – 6 p.m. on Feb. 17.

Po’Boys Three Ways — $15

Fried oyster, fried catfish or fried shrimp with house hoagie, holy trinity slaw, Cajun remoulade, charred onion vinaigrette. Served with fries and pickles.

Creamy Anson Mills grits, chicken offal, lardo sausage, peppers & onions, scallions


King Cake — $8

Danish pastry, cinnamon, confectioners icing

Rye, absinthe, bitters, lemon
