SAN BERNARDINO, Calif- On May 9, many runners out in Denver, Colorado will come join well know DJ/Producer Kaskade at the first ever Spark Run.  The 5k-mile run will take place at Dicks Sporting Goods Park, at 7:30 pm. The Spark run is a family friendly nighttime event opened to everyone. The Spark Run also partnered up with the Special Olympics charity.

Steve Estes, co-founder of the event for The Spark Run collaborated with Kaskade for this upcoming and brand new idea for a 5k run. This run is not like any other run; this run involves lights and live music. They will go through four stages throughout the path, Flicker Forest, Kaskade Korners, Graffiti Forest, and lastly the ultimate party where Kaskade will be performing a live set for all the runners at the finishing line.

“The Spark Run is what in the past people have called a ‘fun run’. But we’ve updated this business. We are here to celebrate originality.” Kaskade said. “This run encourages costumes, glow sticks + LED’s. You don’t have to be a runner to enjoy this.”

All racers that register for this race will receive a premium t-shirt, race bib, LED bracelet, and a glow necklace. All children under the age of 8 get in for free and receive a glow necklace.

This 5k run/walk will also be held at other cities such as Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Miami and Charlotte, with new artists being announced as each event gets closer.

The Spark Run sole purpose is to celebrate fun, health, originality and giving back to the community. They also partnered up with Special Olympics to bring awareness and donations to this charity. Online registration for the run is now available for Denver and Los Angeles at The Spark Run website at
