Available now for free in the iTunes App Store and Google Play Store, Healthy Places is taking South Florida by storm. The revolutionary mobile app allows South Floridians the chance to explore all of Broward, West Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade’s local farms, farmers markets, juice & smoothie bars, wellness centers, healthy dining options, and more.
The easy to navigate platform uses GPS technology to connect users with listed businesses that are out to help people live healthier, happier lives.
“We want to make it easy for people to be healthy,” says Nina Anderson, founder of Healthy Places. “It should not be a mission to find a healthy place to dine-out or a farmers market to buy fresh, local produce.”
The app is out to help the businesses that are listed as well. Staying true to the standards that they set to be a Healthy Place can be expensive, and can sometimes leave marketing budgets in the dust. “These Healthy Places listings are being put straight into the hands of their direct target market. It doesn’t get any better than that!” says Nina.
Users will be able to search for listings through the Map or List view. The healthy Dining options can currently be sorted by Organic, Local, and Gluten-Free categories. Listings under each provide options on their menu for the selected category. Vegan, Raw, and Clean-Meat sorting will be available in a later update for the app.
The Grocery listings include categories for Farmers Markets, Stores (Indoor Markets), and Gardening for those who are interested in growing their own food. There are also listings for Health & Beauty, which contain Wellness Centers, Salons/Spas, and Stores/Pharmacies. Healthy Places will also feature local Events that align with bettering health and wellness.
Although Healthy Places is currently featuring listings only in South Florida, it will be branching out to other areas soon enough. “With obesity, heart disease, and cancer at an all time high, the Healthy Places app is necessary to help people live a healthier lifestyle without the hassle,” says Nina. “People around the nation deserve access to it.”
Healthy Places for iPhone, iPad, and Android devices, unlocks an exclusive network of businesses around you that are dedicated to health and wellness.
