Radio Host Pete De La Torre Marks 1 Year Anniversary at Smith & Wollensky in Miami Beach

Dozens of South Florida's influential business executives, celebrated the one year anniversary of the Pete De La Torre Business Hour radio show, at a VIP event Thursday, October 16, at Smith & Wollensky Restaurant in Miami Beach. Among the highlights of the celebratory event was a video showcasing special guest experts who've appeared on the show, special events, and milestones. The video was produced by Ira Haber from All In 1 Productions.

The Pete De La Torre Business Hour, a one of a kind business talk platform, has gained a loyal and highly respected following among business owners as well as journalists and has featured as guests both national and international movers and shakers in various industries.

De La Torre, the former Director of the Doral Business Council, launched the show, which airs daily at 8am EST. on 880 AM WZAB in Miami, on September 30th, 2013. The program has evolved into the go to program to hear about economic development and business opportunities in South Florida and beyond. De La Torre's show features several special segments including the Business of Sports, I Love Travel, Sally’s Biz Tips, and Let’s Talk SBA.The Pete De La Torre Business Hour has built a loyal base and boasts thousands of listeners.

Among the VIP guests in attendance at Smith & Wollensy, was Luisa Perez, Director of Marketing and Communications at FIU College of Business. Perez said supporting De La Torre's radio show over the last year has been a key communications initiative for the College of Business. "The show is a meeting place for Miami's community and business leaders and anyone that does business here needs to be tuned in. Pete and Sally are a dynamic duo – always creating new opportunities, servicing our every need and have been a true media partner in every way," she added. 

De La Torre and Co-host Sally Villalba, have featured on the show, Florida Governor Rick Scott, Maria Contreras Sweet, SBA National Administrator, Manny Medina from eMerge Americas, among others.
