Shannon K's "Sapphire" reaches over 1.1M views on Youtube

Los Angeles, CA - August 19, 2016 -- Singer-songwriter Shannon K's summer music video release, "Sapphire" has garnered over 1.1 million views on Youtube. Her latest effort, the song fuses several elements of contemporary music with carefully composed production both complimenting Shannon K's harmonious voice. Released in May, the views have steadily increased making the single one of her most popular songs to date. 

Directed by Kharen Hill, the video features a lovely couple enjoying each other's company through several captivating scenes. Backed by the highly melodic vocals of Shannon K, "Sapphire" is "about your beloved who's precious like a Sapphire to you and you never wanna lose it."

Fourteen-year-old daughter of Bollywood legend Kumar Sanu, Shannon K made her first solo single at the age of 12 with a song written by her younger sister, Annabel K. Shannon was born in India and moved to London, England at the age of 6. She had developed a keen interested in music at a young age. She also learned the Indian Classical Dance form, Kathak, at a very tender age and first performed on stage when she was only 4 years old. She was also honored and performed at the Bollywood Awards Night, USA. After moving abroad, she became busy with her studies and began to focus more on music. She continues to work on her voice while currently living in New York with her mother.
