LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – The Washington Redskins announced today tickets are now on sale to the general public for the highly anticipated finale of the 2014 Road to Brazil series of games, featuring defending World Cup champions Spain taking on local favorite El Salvador. Hometown Major League Soccer (MLS) team D.C. United will follow in a regular season match against the Columbus Crew in a doubleheader set for Saturday, June 7. Spain and El Salvador will kick off at 4 p.m., with the D.C. United and Columbus Crew match to follow.
Spain and El Salvador will play at FedExField as part of the 2014 Road to Brazil as six countries make final preparations just days prior to heading to Brazil for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Road to Brazil, organized by Soccer United Marketing, MLS’ commercial arm, will be played across five U.S. cities, including Washington D.C., Houston, Philadelphia, Dallas and New York. Ten countries will participate in the Road to Brazil series of matches, representing four continents.
