Jerusalem, Israel - Couch Potato officially launched its Kickstarter campaign for garnering widespread support and financial backing for furthering development of the app that helps users find movies to watch by filtering preferences via entertaining quizzes.
If finding the right film to settle down with on movie night has become a cumbersome process, a solution may be on its way, according to the developers of the new movie selecting app, ‘Couch Potato’.. Whether it's with friends or alone, Couch Potato developers believe that their app will make the sometimes tedious task of selecting a movie fun, entertaining and more efficient. Users simply download the app from the Google Play store and begin taking an entertaining quiz to help them select their movie for the night. Users will also be able to select movies by genre, see which movies are the latest releases and review information available on the movie of their choice.
“Finding a movie is a loooong process, you can spend an hour finding a good movie that you'd enjoy or that you and you're friends would agree on” Said project creator Talia Mark. “ That’s where Couch Potato comes in handy, you can have fun while finding a movie, take our quiz, see what's new or browse according to genre.”
Kickstarter is a funding platform for creative projects. Everything from films, games, and music to art, design, and technology. ‘Backers’ who support a project on Kickstarter get an inside look at the creative process, and help that project come to life. Typically, Backers get to choose from a variety of unique rewards offered by the project creator. Rewards vary from project to project, but often include a copy of what is being produced (CD, DVD, book, etc.) or an experience unique to the project.
According to Couch Potato developers, the app is nearing the final stages of development and funds from the Kickstarter campaign will be used to bring it to completion. The Kickstarter campaign is officially open until September 14, 2016.
