Actress CHRISTINE SYRON Turns Scandalous in Investigation Discovery’s Hit-Series “BLOOD RELATIVES”

LOS ANGELES (March 18, 2014) – Actress CHRISTINE SYRON goes from picture-perfect to murder scandal suspect in an all-new episode of the popular Investigation Discovery channel crime-drama series, “BLOOD RELATIVES,” scheduled to air on April 3rd.

Now in its third season, “Blood Relatives” unpeels grim family dramas in which the strain of sibling rivalries, family businesses and infidelities result in ultimate betrayals and the unthinkable: a murder within a family. In the episode titled “The Jones Case,” Syron emerges as Linda Jones, the wife and mother of a seemingly ‘Camelot’ style family that begins to unravel after she brings a young woman into her home.

The show’s director Jim Edwards believes Christine’s dance abilities brought her character to a whole new level, explaining “Christine’s excitement for the role, her ability to remain focused on very tiny but important character detail, for six days in a row, makes an actor's director like me very happy. Christine’s talent as an actress is remarkable. Her added talent as a dancer truly enhances that talent in ways writers and directors really appreciate.  At the end of the day her BLOOD RELATIVES character was so much more complex and interesting because of her dancing background.”

Produced by Mike Mathis Productions, the fact-based storylines are narrated by actress Brenda Strong, most recognized for her recounting tales on “Desperate Housewives.”

Syron was thrilled at the opportunity to be part of the show and flex her creative muscles, adding “I love playing dark characters…especially the ones out for revenge. I get in their shoes and I stand behind every one of their actions 100%!”

Previously, Syron was a member of the prestigious Joffrey Ballet in New York City, performing in numerous productions including the memorable “Billboards,” which showcased music from contemporary artist Prince. Syron is also a trained actor, having studied under the legendary William Esper; and at David Mamet’s Atlantic Theatre and with Sanford Meisner’s protégée Suzanne Shepherd. Syron voiced the character Julia LaForenze in the Caslevania video game series and secured several long-running ad campaigns while with the Ford Modeling Agency before making her way to Los Angeles.
