A Young Woman is Consumed with Killing in New Original Web Series “SLICE”

NEW YORK (February 10, 2015) – Actress MARZY HART gets consumed by her desire to kill in the new horror-dark comedy crossover web series, SLICE. Created and directed by Daniel Ferry, the original series hits the festival circuit as an ‘Official Selection’ at the 2nd annual Vancouver Web Fest (VWF) on March 6th.

SLICE follows Lily Drover (Hart), a typical millennial city-dweller living a mundane life until she discovers her new obsession: murder. Her cravings for killing deepen, as she begins luring in unsuspecting victims during an uncontrollable murderous spree. As each bloody ‘slice’ of pleasure ends, Lily must fight to keep investigators from uncovering her dark and deadly secret.

Hart produced the seven episode series, which also stars Amanda Kari McHugh, Deirdre O'Keefe and Michael Patrick Lane as Detective Banner. Hart was excited to collaborate on the project with her longtime friend Ferry, explaining “We set out just wanting to work together and create something actually worth seeing. Then it became our goal to crush the concept of the damsel in distress by portraying a strong, feminine anti-hero. I think we’ve accomplished both.”

The Vancouver Web Fest celebrates the progressive evolution of entertainment and programming created exclusively for the Internet. This uniquely diverse festival was the first of its kind in Canada and Hart is thrilled that SLICE will be part of it, adding "There are so many awesome creators there and we are honored to be recognized amongst them."
