The Curtain Exchange joins the International Franchise Association (IFA) as a new member to the association under Franchise Foundry. Franchising is an unique business model. It is in the interest of the franchisor, each franchisee, the suppliers to the franchise system and the consuming public that franchisors define, maintain and enforce Brand Standards throughout the franchise system. Celebrating 50 years of excellence, education and advocacy, the International Franchise Association is the world’s oldest and largest organization representing franchising worldwide. IFA’s mission is to protect, enhance and promote franchising through government relations, public relations and educational programs.
About Curtain Exchange
Over a decade ago The Curtain Exchange set out to make the process of selecting window treatments easy by offering a line of ready-made designer curtains. Today, curtain stores offer the most extensive range of “off the rack” curtains anywhere in the country and you can try out curtains on a 48 hour test drive, before you buy. The Curtain Exchange offers custom luxury curtains and designer drapery and window treatments. In addition to a constantly updated line of fabrics that may be selected from to create custom draperies, The Curtain Exchange also carries a distinctive selection of ready-made curtain styles, drapery hardware, bedding, Hunter Douglas window solutions as well as Kirsch and Curtain Company Studio products. The store’s offers consultations and installations, and customers are encouraged to take advantage of The Curtain Exchange’s 48-hour take-home approval process. All of The Curtain Exchange’s draperies are made in the USA.

About Franchise Foundry
Franchise Foundry is a multi-brand franchisor and business incubator focused on emerging franchise brands. Boasting more than 30 years of experience building businesses, Franchise Foundry understands the unique challenges that emerging franchisors face. Its team provides franchise consulting, franchise management, franchise marketing, franchise technology and other franchise development services. The company currently works with the following franchise brands: The Curtain Exchange, Monkey Bizness, and Above Grade Level, among others.
Opening a Franchise is exciting. It is also demanding, creative, and time-consuming.
The Curtain Exchange seeks active owner-operators who have the drive and initiative to succeed. Initially, a franchise requires full-time dedication of the owner operator, and funding of a minimum of six figures (store build out, inventory, start-up costs) depending on location, size of store, inventory, and demographics. Some areas require significantly larger funding.
The Curtain Exchange system is suited for motivated, ambitious, sales focused individuals, and is not well-suited to those whose interest lies primarily in working part-time or decorating. While design skills help, a proven sales track record is ideal. We seek Store Owners with excellent “people” skills, who are social and outgoing, willing to learn and able to manage a sales team.
