Launch Pad Features Script Competition - Now Accepting Submissions

The Launch Pad Features Script Competition is the new standard of what writers should expect via a screenwriting competition.

The Tracking Board wants to discover new talent, provide opportunities not found anywhere else, and help open the doors that will launch your career. These are the core ideas from which The Launch Pad Competition was born.

The Launch Pad isn’t a competition where you enter, make it to the finals, win and nothing happens. Our staff attempts to push every project that makes the top 25 out to agents, managers, producers, executives and studios. We aren’t just looking to find a winner; we want to open doors for our finalists and semi-finalists too! The Tracking Board knows that there are a lot of great scripts and writers out there, and some of them just need an opportunity to shine.

In order to provide that opportunity, we carefully select our panel of judges from some of the top companies and A-List industry professionals in Hollywood. We also utilize our in-depth spec tracking, annual lists and overall industry knowledge to target the right judges for each competition. We’re not gathering interns and assistants to judge your work, we’re providing the very best of the best in Hollywood.

Testimonials:

"Days after I was announced [in the Top 25] I was signed by Brooklyn Weaver at Energy Entertainment and David Saunders at APA and had sold my script to Scott Free and 20th Century Fox for Ridley Scott to produce. I’d spent 12 years trying to break in, and this contest did it for me in a matter of days." - Daniel Turkewitz, 2013 LPFC Finalist

"The fact that 10 out of 25 of your finalists have got repped, is 1.) Unprecedented 2.) an indicator of the quality of scripts entered. When that fact comes out, that’s going to make huge waves. I have feeling you guys might be deluged by entries next year! Exciting times…” - Dominic Morgan, 2013 LPFC Finalist

"This contest legitimately changed my life. It was amazing to have my work set out and actually taken seriously. Right away, I got a ton of emails from people requesting to see the script!" - Kate Trefry, 2013 LPFC Winner

"In their first contest they sold 5 of the top 25 [semifinalists] and more than half of the writers got signed. Show me any other contest that can do that!" - Brooklyn Weaver, Manager, Energy Entertainment
