Los Angeles, Calif., March 7, 2014 – DDD Group (AIM: DDD; OTCQX: DDDGY), the advanced imaging and 3D solutions company, is bringing the second season of Xanthus Animation Studio’s “Yameme” in 3D to Yabazam, DDD’s streaming 3D video service. This marks the first time DDD has signed a content distribution agreement with a Taiwanese studio to bring professionally produced 3D programming to Yabazam.
“Yameme” is an original, animated series about a girl who lives in a city populated by figures from ancient Chinese folklore. Each episode takes viewers on an action-packed tale through the eyes of one extraordinary little girl. Together with Demio, a transfer student from the West, Yameme touches hearts and minds while learning about new cultures - and the true meaning of friendship.
Xanthus has been developing and producing high quality digital animations for over five years and was assisted by the Taiwanese Industrial Development Bureau on the production of Yameme. Following a successful release of the first season of Yameme in Taiwan on broadcast television, Taiwan-based stereoscopic image technology was used to create a high quality stereo 3D experience for Yameme’s adventures in season two.
“Xanthus Animation Studio’s 3D animation TV series Yameme is full of imagination and laughter,” said Bruce Yao, CEO of Xanthus. “We are excited to share it with audiences around the world and hope it will bring them great fun!”
“The Xanthus team did a wonderful job using 3D to enhance the world of Yameme,” said Jay Wiskerchen, DDD’s Vice President of Content Services. “We’re very excited to be adding these 13 fun-filled episodes of season 2 to our library for Yabazam users around the world to enjoy.”
