LGBT-Focused Mud Run Event Partners with Social App for Gay Community to Get Out & Get Dirty for NYC Gay Pride 2014

Out-Fit Challenge will take place on June 21st, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with race waves leaving throughout the day beginning every 20 minutes. The sporting event features over 15 military-style obstacles that include various elements such as mud, water, and ice throughout the course including the “Cherry Picker,” “Is that Mud in Your Pants” and “Hello Sailor.” Finishing the course is a victory for every participant, celebrated with an after party hosted by local drag queens, DJs, muddy go-go boys, and lots of great food and drink. Out-Fit Challenge will run shuttle buses from New York City to Tuxedo Ridge throughout the day. Tickets to participate in the event are $55 per person with group discounts available. For 2014 they expanded their 5K cross-country trails to four cities chosen through a public online voting contest. For this year’s New York event the charity of choice is the Ali Forney Center which helps provide housing for homeless LGBT youth in the New York City metropolitan area. Other LGBT charities that the event has contributed to include Family Equality Council and Care Resource of Miami.
