Upslope Get Down Music Festival Announces Music Schedule

Get down with Colorado’s favorite music, food and Upslope beers

Boulder, Colo. (May 7, 2015) - Upslope Brewing Company will host its second annual Upslope Get Down music festival next Saturday, May 16, from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. at its Flatiron Park location in Boulder. Eight live bands will rotate throughout the day on two stages, ending with headliner Taylor Frederick's Funk Circus. This FREE event is open to the public and is family friendly; however, any guest under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, and please leave dogs at home.

Upslope, with the help of local adventure expert Ryan Van Duzer as emcee, will usher in the summer with local music, food, beer and family friendly activities. The purchase of five-dollar beer tickets will grant those 21 years and older access to delicious pints of Upslope’s year round styles as well as their Limited Release Belgian Style Pale Ale and Limited Release Thai Style White IPA.

Live music will rotate on two stages all day long, beginning at 1 p.m. The official music schedule is as follows:

· 1:00-1:45 p.m.: K-Law

· 1:55-2:45 p.m.: The Good Kind

· 2:55-3:55 p.m.: Technicolor Tone Factory

· 4:00-5:00 p.m.: Cure for the Common

· 5:30-6:15 p.m.: A. Tom Collins

· 6:20-7:30 p.m.: The Yawpers

· 7:35-8:45 p.m.: Rowdy Shadehouse

· 8:55-11:00 p.m.: Taylor Frederick's Funk Circus

For those looking to upgrade their Get Down experience, VIP tickets are available for $55 to the Illegal Pete’s VIP Tent. VIP tickets give festival goers access to an exclusive shaded tent with a premium viewing area with private restrooms, food by Illegal Pete’s, unlimited glasses of Upslope’s award-winning beers in a souvenir pint glass and access to exclusive craft brews at the VIP bar. Local food trucks Blackbelly, Comida, Moe’s Original BBQ, The Rolling Tomato and more will be available. Festival goers can also enjoy activities like corn hole, trivia, and ping pong provided by PepPod.

Families with children in attendance are encouraged to check out this year’s new, free “Get Down Kids Zone” sponsored by Avid4 Adventure and McGuckin Hardware. Activities include Avid4’s rock wall and hula hoop making with McGuckin Hardware, in addition to games and sidewalk chalk.

The following Boulder businesses have partnered with Upslope to make the second annual Get Down possible: Flatiron Park, Eco-Cycle, Eco-Products, PepPod, Traverse Image, TBA communications, Elevation Outdoors Magazine, Westword, Boulder Weekly, The Marquee and Westword.

Free parking will be available in the Flatiron Park neighborhood with complementary shuttling from the Beertooth Tasting Society’s tour bus throughout the neighboring lots to the Main Gate.

The Upslope Get Down is a zero-waste event thanks to service by Eco-Cycle and the use of compostable 16-oz. cups provided by Eco-Products.
