Pinnacle Bank has always supported small businesses, and now they are supporting the original small business, helping children learn responsible business practices and money smarts, by funding their lemonade stands.
This summer, children between the ages of 5-13 can apply for $10 start-up capital, courtesy of Pinnacle Bank, to launch their lemonade stand. Pinnacle Bank will not only supply the $10, but also a starter kit, complete with a guide to becoming a successful “Self Made Million-ade” business owner, 20 cups and napkins, lemonade packets, lemonade stand poster, advertising flyers and a Pinnacle Bank money bag.
“Pinnacle Bank has always focused on helping local businesses succeed and nothing beats the experience of starting your own business” said Doug Weedin, President & CEO of Pinnacle Bank – Wyoming. “We believe when kids learn the ins and outs of business-building it will help develop some important real-world skills. No matter what careers they end up in, they need business savvy and understanding of good money habits and practices.”
The entire lemonade stand promotion is designed for children to easily understand and use. First, they are asked to complete a very simple Capital Start-Up Application and turn it into a personal banker at their local Pinnacle Bank branch. Then, they will receive a business guide, which gives them best business practice tips, such as goal setting, saving money, investing back into their business and much more.
Children will also receive a 24”x18” lemonade stand poster they can personalize with their name and prices, customizable advertising flyers to distribute to family and friends, and lemonade stand supplies.
In conjunction with the “Self Made Million-ade” lemonade stand promotion, Pinnacle Bank will also be running a photo contest. They are encouraging parents and guardians to take a photo of their “Million-ade stand owner,” at his\her lemonade stand, and post it to Pinnacle Bank – Wyoming’s Facebook page, with#millionade, or email it to firstname.lastname@example.org. Their child will then be entered to win a $25 Visa Gift Card at the end of summer.
