Chinese Home Appliance Industry and Market
According to China’s MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology), total revenues of Chinese home appliances topped around 897.6 billion RMB (US$140.3 billion; US$1= 6.4 RMB) as of August 31, 2015, up 10.4% year-on-year. Meanwhile, total profit margins reached 51.79 billion RMB (US$8.09 billion), up 21.9% year-on-year, while the total tax paid by home appliances brands in China hit 24.33 billion (US$3.8 billion), up 22.9% year-on-year. Sales of home appliances continued to be brisk from January to August, with sales ratio of 96.7%.
