Platteville, Wis.,January 22, 2014 – Lorraine Sabo, a fall graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville’s online Master of Science in Project Management, has been selected as a Lifetime Pioneer. The designation was made by the UW-Platteville Alumni Association, which annually recognizes outstanding graduates by awarding them life membership in the association. The award is based on a variety of criteria, including campus activities, leadership, community involvement, professional development and employment, academic excellence, and anticipated future involvement in the Alumni Association.
Sabo, from Sun Prairie, Wis., completed her graduate education at UW-Platteville while working as the senior research and development engineer for Xolve Inc. in Middleton, Wis. Sabo said UW-Platteville’s online program was her saving grace, as it allowed for her to pursue additional education while maintaining a full-time job and raising a family. This is her second master’s degree, and she also holds a Ph.D. in paper science from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Sabo is the co-author of numerous presentations and peer-reviewed publications in her field.
