A little smart scheduling makes all the difference when it comes to planning a vacation that takes advantage of all the family-friendly activities to do in Glenwood Springs, Colorado – America’s Most Fun Small Town. Free family concerts are an ideal way to unwind after a day spent rafting through Glenwood Canyon, swimming at the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool or exploring at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park.
Glenwood Springs’ Summer of Music concerts kick off the weekly entertainment beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday evenings at Two Rivers Park. Sponsored by the Glenwood Springs Center for the Arts, the concerts feature a variety of acts that appeal to all ages. Upcoming shows include the Portland-based March Fourth Marching Band, known as M4 by its growing legion of fans on July 23 and Halden Woffard & the Hi Beams playing Rocky Mountain-style honkey tonk on July 30. Bring a blanket and your own picnic dinner or stop by the vendors selling delicious edibles. Alcoholic beverages are permitted but glass is not, so please decant your drink into a non-breakable bottle and opt for plastic cups. The Summer of Music is free, but donations are appreciated.
The Snowmass Free Summer Concert Series is another midweek entertainment venue, with concerts on Thursday evenings through August 14. Shows start at 6:15 p.m. on Fanny Hill located at the end of the Snowmass Village Mall. Upcoming acts include Nicki Bluhm & the Gramblers, the California Honey Drops, Nathan & the Zydeco Cha-Chas and Fishbone. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed to be carried into the fenced in area, but beverages are available for purchase.
