Stephan Beringer Joins VivaKi as Chief Growth Officer and President of Audience On Demand

Chicago, IL – January 27, 2014 – Frank  Voris, CEO of VivaKi, today announced that Stephan Beringer has been named Chief Growth Officer and President of Audience On Demand® (AOD) for the ad tech solutions company owned by Publicis Groupe. Beringer will oversee the addressable media practice worldwide, focusing on the innovations that continue to drive the performance and brand safety of programmatic media.  He replaces Kurt Unkel who is leaving VivaKi at the end of February.

Beringer was previously Chief Growth and Strategy Officer for the Digital Technologies Division of Publicis Groupe, including DigitasLBi and Razorfish.  He has been responsible for creating and deploying cross-agency teams tailor-made for clients.  He has also led and nurtured the Adobe alliance for Publicis Groupe, a responsibility he will now be merging into his new position.  During his tenure as International CEO for Digitas and Razorfish from 2009 to 2013, he built the network across 11 international markets serving such clients as Audi, Delta, Evian, L’Oréal, McDonald's, Renault, Nissan, P&G and Samsung and was responsible for the integration of Digitas and LBi globally.

“Stephan’s unique history of innovation in marketing, combined with his vast International experience and his collaborative focus, is ideally suited to VivaKi and our vision to ensure that every digital interaction a customer has with a client brand adds meaning and value to their day,” said Voris.  “Working in partnership with our data, technology and partnerships lead Domenic Venuto, Stephan will help us develop new solutions that expand our addressable offerings across the globe, enhancing our global footprint, audience capabilities as well as our inventory and channel offerings. I thank Kurt for his many contributions to AOD, and I wish him the best as he pursues greater work/life balance in Detroit.”

Beringer is considered a leader of the interactive space. During the nineties he established and led the first communication agency with digital at the core in Germany, which became Tribal DDB.  By the time he left Tribal in 2005 to join Digitas, he had tripled the network's regional footprint to 24 offices and led the team to be awarded significant accolades including: Cannes Agency of the Year, Cannes Lions Grand Prix Awards (Cyber and Film), Adweek's Interactive Agency of the Year and Advertising Age's Global Agency Network of the Year.

“Addressability is about the right experience, right person, right context, and I’m eager to join the innovation engine inside VivaKi to expand the Groupe’s programmatic capabilities, drive growth and deliver new standards of excellence to our clients and the industry,” said Beringer.  “My first priorities will be to leverage the scale of VivaKi to deliver deeper audience understanding, drive maximum relevance and ensure the safety of our clients’ assets. We are global market leaders and our clients expect from us to continuously evolve the VivaKi Verified quality standards through greater viewability metrics and the VivaKi quality index.”

Beringer, 50, will report to Voris.  He previously reported to Rishad Tobaccowala, Chairman of DigitasLBi and Razorfish, who also serves as Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer for Vivaki.

“Stephan is a world class talent with deep technology, brand marketing and client smarts,” said Tobaccowala.  “His move to VivaKi is key to the further strengthening  of the collaboration between all Publicis Groupe digital practices, accelerating our ability to connect with people in an empowered age.”
