Liberty Signs Self-Proclaimed Country Boy, Earl Dibbles Jr.

Fort Worth, Texas (Sept. 3, 2015) – Liberty, a leading brand of denim overalls since 1912, has partnered with Earl Dibbles Jr., the alter-ego of best-selling country musician Granger Smith, to promote its iconic denim overall collection. A newly released video featuring Earl Dibbles shopping for his new overalls can be seen here.

“Partnering with Granger is a really exciting opportunity for our brand,” says Alan Burks, director of marketing at Liberty, a brand of Williamson-Dickie Mfg. Co. “Through his popular character, Earl Dibbles Jr., Granger reaches a massive audience of music and sports fans through viral videos and lively concert performances that brings recognition to the Liberty brand.”

Smith, a Texas native and accomplished country musician, is best known for his album, “Dirt Road Driveway” which debuted at number one on the iTunes Country Chart in 2013. The artist has released nine studio albums, played by invitation at the White House, toured for U.S. troops in Iraq and Kuwait, and partnered with The Boot Campaign to raise awareness for veterans returning home.

Liberty will be the official apparel sponsor of Smith’s alter ego, Earl Dibbles Jr., best known for his song and YouTube video, Country Boy. Dibbles has a regular weekly television segment, Dip ‘Em and Pick ‘Em beginning this week on Inside College Football on the CBS Network and continues to release new songs, most recently, City Boy Stuck.
