Libbey Foodservice Uses New Materials to Add Extraordinary Pop to Tabletops

TOLEDO, OHIO, May 17, 2014 – (NYSE MKT: LBY) Stainless steel, cast iron and bamboo are a few of the new materials Libbey® Foodservice has used in the design of new World® Tableware products that are sure to add extraordinary pop to tabletops.

“Libbey has added a range of more than 50 new products that enhance any tablescape, from casual to fine dining, and inspire creativity in modern food plating and presentation,” said Susan J. Dountas, director of foodservice marketing for Libbey. “The new products add dramatic accents to the tabletop.”

Sonoran Metal Bowls, Trays, Pails and Accessories

Add unexpected metal accents to the tabletop with World Sonoran. Constructed using high-quality stainless steel, the collection features nearly 25 items in hammered, smooth and enamel-coated finishes. The bowls are available in 10 sizes, with and without handles, and are ideal for appetizers, side dishes or desserts. The pails, available in three styles – hammered, copper enamel coated and red enamel coated – are sure to add a wow factor to snacks and bar service. The metal accessory collection includes a square bud vase, salt and pepper shakers, sugar stick holder, sugar packet holder and condiment caddy.

Los Ranchos Trays

The rustic, 10 ¾” round trays feature a distinct vertical rim, black glaze and wells adorned with speckles and choice of three base colors – white, yellow and brown. The color and speckle design is unique to each tray. Well-suited for appetizers or sharing at the table, the Los Ranchos trays are versatile enough to complement almost any food presentation.

Preto Bowls

Add elegance and drama to the tabletop with black, wide rim Preto Bowls. The 13 ½ oz., 11” bowls are available in three tone-on-tone rim patterns – black bamboo, black flower and dotted line. The deep black glaze offers dramatic food plating options. In addition, the bowls can be mixed and matched with one another or paired with white plates for a striking tabletop.

Faux Wood and Faux Slate Trays

With its amazing likeness to real wood, the new faux wood slice ceramic tray offers countless options for exceptional food presentations. The 8 ½” tray is adaptable for a range of tabletop looks, from reflecting the farm-to-table movement to upscale elegance. Features include side finger slots for easy pick up. In addition, the faux wood does not require special handling or treatment and will not discolor.

Add the look of slate to your tabletop with new faux slate trays. Designed using beautiful black porcelain, the trays are available in three styles – no wells, one round well and three square wells.

Brushed Metal Trays, Bowls and Baskets

Accents using brushed metal add visual interest to the tabletop. The range of new products featuring brushed metal include tri-tip bowls, three-well and five-well serving flights, rolled handle trays, round trays and bread baskets.
