BURLINGTON, Vt.- The Champlain College Office of Advancement has announced two new senior gifts officers, Chris Bernier and Sarah McLane, have joined the team.
Prior to joining Champlain, Bernier spent four years as the director of marketing and development at Special Olympics Vermont. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Saint Michael’s College and a MBA from Champlain. He is currently the chair of the Governor’s Committee on the Employment of People with Disabilities. In his free time, he can be found running, fly fishing and volunteering.
Prior to joining Champlain, McLane spent over 15 years in senior management roles in the investment banking world in New York City, San Francisco and Connecticut. She is originally from Minnesota and now lives in Stowe, where she is the chair of the Historic Preservation Commission. In her free time, she can be found renovating her antique farmhouse, digging in the dirt or reading Scandinavian crime novels.
Senior major gift officers hold the responsibility of managing donations to the college and making connections within the community and with alumni.
