Tire: Goodyear Eagle Speedway Radials

 

Set limits: Sprint Cup: 6 sets for practice/qualifying and 9 sets for the race

 

Tire Codes: Left-side -- D-4558; Right-side -- D-4630

 

Tire Circumference: Left-side -- 87.60 in. (2,225 mm); Right-side -- 88.39 in. (2,245 mm)

 

Minimum Recommended Inflation: Left Front -- 26 psi; Right Front -- 57 psi;

     Left Rear – 26 psi; Right Rear -- 54 psi

 

Notes: While teams in the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Camping World Truck Series will run the same right-side tire code (D-4630) at Michigan this weekend, they will run distinct left-side codes . . . in Sprint Cup, teams have run this left-side code (D-4558) at Michigan since 2013 . . . they added this right-side code at Michigan this past June . . . they also ran this right-side earlier this season at Las Vegas, Talladega and Kansas . . . as on all NASCAR ovals greater than one mile in length, teams are required to run inner liners in all four tire positions at Michigan . . . air pressure in those inner liners should be 12-25  psi greater than that of the outer tire.

Tire Circumference: Left-side -- 87.60 in. (2,225 mm); Right-side -- 88.39 in. (2,245 mm)

 

Minimum Recommended Inflation: Left Front -- 26 psi; Right Front -- 57 psi;

     Left Rear – 26 psi; Right Rear -- 54 psi

 

Notes: While teams in the NASCAR Camping World Truck and Sprint Cup Series will run the same right-side tire code (D-4630) at Michigan this weekend, they will run distinct left-side codes . . . in Truck, teams ran this left-side code (D-4604) at Michigan last August . . . this is the first time they have run this right-side code at Michigan . . . compared to what was run at Michigan last year, this right-side features a compound change (wear) and a slight construction change (more tread thickness) . . . they ran this same combination of left- and right-side tires at Kansas earlier this season . . . as on all NASCAR ovals greater than one mile in length, teams are required to run inner liners in all four tire positions at Michigan . . . air pressure in those inner liners should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire.

Set limits: 7 sets for the event

 

Tire Code: D-4590 (same on all four tire positions)

 

Tire Circumference: 88.66 in. (2,252 mm)

 

Minimum Recommended Inflation: Left Front -- 22 psi; Left Rear -- 17 psi;

     Right Front -- 20 psi; Right Rear -- 17 psi

 

Notes: After running different front and rear tires at Mid-Ohio last season, NASCAR Xfinity teams will run the same tire code on all four tire positions this week . . . this is the same tire that these teams ran at Mid-Ohio in 2013 . . . this is also the same tire Xfinity teams ran at Watkins Glen last week . . . they are scheduled to run this tire code again at Road America in two weeks . . . as on all NASCAR road courses, teams will not run inner liners in their tires at Mid-Ohio.

 

Wet Weather Tires: Goodyear will also bring its wet weather radials (D-4215) to Mid-Ohio for use by Xfinity Series teams, should NASCAR decide that conditions warrant.
