LOS ANGELES (March 18, 2015) – Actor CHRISTOPHER GORHAM (Covert Affairs) heads to the big screen signing-on for director JOHN ASHER’s upcoming dramatic feature, PO. Gorham will star as a recently widowed man who must learn to cope with becoming a single father to his nine-year old autistic son, Po, played by up-and-comer Julian Feder (Weiner Dog franchise).

Production kicks-off this April during Autism Awareness month, something Asher is very aware of as the parent of an autistic child. Asher explains, “Honestly…I’m making this film for my son, Evan. He has opened my eyes to a world I previously knew nothing about. I think this story brings a fresh perspective to the subject and I hope it helps people understand autism a little better.”

PO is produced by Rod Hamilton, under his Commonwealth Film Manufacturing banner, and Asher. The original script was penned by Colin Goldman, from a story that Goldman and Steve C. Roberts developed.

Christopher Gorham has spent the last five seasons starring as Auggie Anderson on the USA Networks popular crime-drama, COVERT AFFAIRS (opposite Piper Perabo). Fans also recognize his voice from his stint as The Flash/Barry Allen in the popular animated JUSTICE LEAGUE franchise. His previous credits also include appearances in ONCE UPON A TIME, UGLY BETTY, ODYSSEY 5, POPULAR, and JAKE 2.0.

The film marks the first family drama for writer/director John Asher, who recently earned numerous awards for his groundbreaking first ever ‘one-shot’ feature length comedy, SOMEBODY MARRY ME. Asher’s directing credits also include the crime-thriller KOUNTERFEIT, starring 2-time Academy Award winner Hilary Swank; the Miramax comedy DIAMONDS, starring Kirk Douglas, Dan Aykroyd, and Lauren Bacall; and the indie comedy CHICK FLICK. On the small screen, Asher was a full-time director on the WB’s ONE TREE HILL and Showtime’s GOING TO CALIFORNIA. Coming this May, Asher unveils TOOKEN, a comedy spoof of the popular "Taken" franchise, starring Lee Tergesen with cameos from Ethan Suplee, Donnie Wahlberg, Lukas Haas and Reno Wilson among others.

Christopher Gorham is represented by Tracey Brennan at Creative Artists Agency (CAA).

John Asher is repped by Peter Principato of Principato-Young Entertainment.
