Cottonwood, AZ – (November 11, 2015) – Oxendale Auto Group is continuing its support of helping send children to camp through numerous fundraising campaigns for Camp Soaring Eagle, which provides year-round, medically-supervised camping programs to children and family members from across Arizona with chronic and life threatening illnesses.
Oxendale Auto Group Owner Matthew Oxendale and General Manager Larry Burns recently presented a check to Rick James, founding family member of the nonprofit organization, and son of Chairman and Founder Max James.
"It's humbling when we take the time to consider other people's struggles instead of our own,” said Oxendale. “I'm very fortunate to have employees and customers with a heart for children, exemplifying our “For The People culture.”’
According to James, Oxendale, his wife Lindsay, and Oxendale’s father Tom attended the organization’s 2012 Annual Fundraising Affair to learn more about the camp and its programs.
“Ever since then,” said James, “the Oxendale Auto group has been a strong community partner, helping to send children to Camp Soaring Eagle.”
Camp Soaring Eagle offers six different types of camping programs: Illness Specific Camping Weekends, Illness Specific Family Retreats, Sibling Camper Weekends, Summer Camp Program, Camp Outreach and Veterans’ Children Weekends. For more information visit www.campsoaringeagle.org.
