ShaQueen Valentine of Vanity Studio nominated for 2015 Hairstylist of The Year

Stamford, CT, February 26, 2015---ShaQueen Valentine, co-owner of Vanity Studio a luxury hair salon in Stamford, CT is nominated for Hairstylist of The Year at the 2015 Christopher Lamont Fashion & Music Awards.

The awards ceremony takes place this Friday, February 27th at 7:00pm at The Stratford Hotel and Conference Center in Stratford, Connecticut.

ShaQueen specializes in healthy, luxurious hair. At 30 years old, ShaQueen is a fresh passionate talent carving a new path in the Hair Design community. She is a much sought after Hair Stylist, Designer, Colorist, and Educator. Along with being the co-owner of Vanity Studio with her business partner and master hair designer Danelle Aune.  With over 10 years of experience, ShaQueen brings training, dedication and an un-matched passion to hair design & styling. Ms. Valentine launched Vanity Studio in the Fall of 2011. 

In the Spring of 2014 ShaQueen Valentine opened an adjacent a School of Cosmetology on Vanity Studio salon premises.  This will allow striving stylist to become licensed in the State of Connecticut in Cosmetology. ShaQueen is passionate about proper stylist education and expertise in order to deliver healthy, luxurious hair that clients fall in love with at each and every visit.

ShaQueen has studied Design & Management at Parsons the New School for Design. Earlier in her career she interned at Warren Tricomi, Salon Shahin, and Noelle Spa, and has also held Hair Design positions at Enzo Riccobini Salon, Creations by Kathleen, and Regis Salons. She has done hair design for numerous private clients and exclusive events such as weddings, parties, fashion shows, theatrical casts, celebrity stylists, and more.

ShaQueen Valentine has created a unique and desirable hair salon experience where  clientele will receive one-on-one consultations with Vanity Studio stylists. In addition to her passion for Hair Design, Ms. Valentine has also been privately trained as an educator in the mixing and formulation of colors for all stages of application from L'Oreal, Wella, Redken, Aquage, and Paul Mitchell.
